I found this via what is quickly becoming my favorite website, Slashfilm. Amazon is running a ton of great deals this week in anticipation of Black Friday here in the U.S. Each day leading up to Friday they're going to have some different deals. Some of them are for the whole day, and some of them are "lightning deals" that you can only get within an hour or so window.

For example, these are good all day today (Monday):

  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy Combo $15.99
  • Harry Potter Years 1-5 Box Set [Blu-ray] $54.99
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire [Blu-ray] $14.99
  • Slumdog Millionaire $7.99
  • The Fountain [Blu-ray] $9.99
  • Bullitt [Blu-ray] $8.99
  • The Passion of the Christ (Definitive Edition) [Blu-ray] $8.99
  • The Terminator [Blu-ray] $7.49
  • Dogma [Blu-ray] $7.99
  • 24: Season 7 $19.99
  • The Simpsons: Season 1, 3-10 $12.49 each
  • Ghostbusters: The Video Game Slimer Edition $29.75 PS3 Xbox360 Wii

That Harry Potter combo pack in particular is a good one, it would cost $20 more any other day. Check around the rest of the week, they're apparently going to have a lot of these that can be either good gifts or splurges for yourself.

I've pretty much analyzed the Black Friday ads for Best Buy, Target, and Amazon and it's just a so-so year. I think DVD wise the only thing I want is Smallville: Season 8 for the BB Doorbuster price of $9.99 and Amazon has something going on tomorrow for the whole series so I'm hoping to make my purchase tomorrow. Besides that, there's a few titles I want to get. I'm not ready to pick up the Potter films on Blu-ray until a complete set is released of those Ultimate Collectors Editions that are slowly coming out.

The Dark Knight and The Fountain would be nice Blu-ray purchases; as would that Passion set for that price.

I also really want to get a camera with a Disney vacation coming up and WrestleMania in March.
