Another new episode of Stargate Universe up tonight. As usual with SyFy the synopsis is pretty light, fortunately Wikipedia offers just a skosh more detail. Looks like they want to build up some character background with tonight's episode.

After their best episode of the series last week (Time) they had another slow assed nothing happening assed boring assed clunker this week. I need to start a Polite Descentish Doomsday Clock for this ****ing show.

Also, the fact that they're not even addressing all the issues (moral and logistic) of people having sex with other people's bodies is starting to creep even me out.

This episode just felt like a set up for whatever spectacular thing they're going to try to do in the mid-season finale in a few weeks. We'll see where they go with it.

Oh, are they pulling that breaking one season into two **** for this series too? Might be a bad idea the way this first half has gone because they might hemorrhage fans during their contrived break.

Well Smallville at least has an excuse that it's holiday season but the SF channel has been doing this **** for years in the middle of the ****ing summer, for crissakes. That's boolsheet.

Yeah, it's just how SyFy operates. Take it or leave it. They've done it with all the SG series, they did it with BSG, and they'll do it for Caprica too.

Yeah, that's my point. I think given how slow the pace has been this is going to be a mistake this time because people are going to leave it. We'll see, but I predict the post midseason break ratings are doing to divebomb.

I might be one to leave it. It's more soap opera than space opera when half the episode is someone finding out that either 1) you're somebody's baby daddy or 2) someone is trying to cheat with your wife. Most of the stories are based on earth and about domestic issues. If I wanted that I would watch day time soaps with my wife.

I hate to say it but you're dead on there. I will probably stick with it for now but the last episode was horrible.

Ally "How about your sister? Is she-?"

Bria "Helen? Oh, we sort of lost touch. Uh, she's - how would you describe her, Robert?"

Robert "Dead."

Alright, so I agree this episode was nowhere near as good as last week's, but we did get a few things out of it:
Young punching Telford. Sorry, but that's still awesome! Young can't rat out Telford because he was having an affair, but Telford can't rat out Young either because he's equally as guilty of conduct unbecoming an officer. He may not have slept with her, but it's still sketch.
Rush is willing to sacrifice others, but not himself. What a coward. Are we supposed to like him at all? Because I don't.

The other stuff I really didn't care about. My husband thinks Captain Rage has a drug addiction, but I really didn't care about that, either.

on a side note, can we get everything back into one thread. the discussions are about the series as a whole, not each episode. makes sense to have them all back in one place
