Remember, your Christmas tree watches you. Within it's dark and sticky maw lie the memories of a thousand, cold, winter nights.

It is a gorgeously crafted game, the attention to detail in each of the massive cities is mind boggling. The story is great, the level of history research these guys have done is incredible. Atmosphere is spot on. Even the fighting battle system is great.
Only small gripe I have is the controls. Ezio getting stuck on ledges and walls to sometimes jump the opppsite way to where you want him to go and fall to his death is pretty annoying. I reckon the free running was better half way through the game because closer to the end it feels like it's gotten worse. Anyone else? Small gripe nonetheless.
9/10 for me. Love it.

They give you a little bit of a refresher in the beginning but it wouldn't hurt to at least read up on what happened during the first one. But you really don't need to have played it.

How do I find the buildings with the glyphs again? I passed them all the first time and now want to find the glyphs but nothing pops up when I run through all the cities again.

By the way, I just rented this game and am completely obsessed with it on a level that I haven't been with a game in a while.

But other than that, I loved the storyline. I only had one gripe with the game and that was dealing with the camera angle while trying to get to one of the assassin's seals.

Some of those angles they use are ridiculous.
That's a very Prince of Persia aspect to the game, but it's done so much better in PoP.

Spoils ahead:
I am up to the part where you meet your uncle - getting to this point has felt over instructional and very limiting. At least in AC1 you started with all your powers and had them taken off you for being naughty.
I'm sure the pace will pick up from here but it's been very boring so far. Haven't enjoyed the romeo and juliet Montague/Capulets rip off so far and i guess there's a reason for it being in there.

I love this game, by the way. I can't stop playing it. I love just going around collecting things in games and there is plenty of that to do. I spend plenty of time in between missions just collecting treasures and doing all the extra things to do.

The hardest trophy for me is "Sweeped", where you have to sweep 5 guards in one shot with a long weapon. I found the best place was at the Palace in Venice. There's a group of 4 guards walking around in front. One has a spear. Stab him & pick it up. Don't run or you'll drop it. Instead lock-on & hold block. Move a little to get the other group of guards that is walking around to see you & join in. After a block, wait a fraction of a second & hold the attack button for a second & sweep. It may take a few times until there is 5 close enough to get swept. That was the last trophy I got & the only one I got after the main story.
Awesome game. Loved this world better than the first game. Would play through again, but I have to give the game back to my friend. If it ever comes down to $20 (greatest hits), I'll pick it up for myself.

Spoilers ahead:
I enjoyed it after getting to the mansion. One thing that bugged me about the mansion was i had a **** load of money from doing all the side quests and so pretty much upgraded the whole place in one go and then there was nothing to do- but that damn architect was still in the room - go home knob head your work here is done.
Poor claudia too, she spent 10 years + counting Ezio's money lol.

The storyline is great in this game though near the end it did get kind of repetitive and annoying to do it since it was a lot of here follow this person now kill! Fun but by the end it was somewhat blah to me.
You should admire us for the control we have, you have no idea what testosterone does to us.
