got it monday night at the midnight release. My cable company was having intermittent problems in my HUB so the internet was down (great timing) the first night and into tuesday afternoon. Played some Campaign and now deep into multiplayer. I love it so far. Still trying to get as comfortable with it as I am with MW1.

Liking the multiplayer a whole lot too.

They reckon up to 1 million people could have been banned but typically M$ aren't giving out figures.

Having problems getting a few achievements tho. Mainly doing the pitt in under 30 secs. (dont believe thats possible)
10 akimbo kills. (shot about 25 in a row on the whitehouse level and never got it)
And 20 vechile kills. Again on the snowmobile i lost count of how ,any o blew up it it was more than 20!

I got akimbo easily on the level where you rescue Price, and got The Pitt by hitting every terrorist target. Try switching weapons at the beginning until you've got a comfortable combo - unload the first and switch to the second without reloading. It took me about a dozen tries, and it seems you have to hit all terrorist targets to knock off enough time at the end to get the right score.

Borrowed the game from my friend today. Beat the campaign in a little over 5 hours. The game was phenomenal as far as graphics, gameplay, story, acting. It really felt like a cinematic experience. I'm assuming the part they warned us about was the airplane scene. It seemed they toned down the graphics in this part to make it seem a little less realistic. In any case, I found it unnecessary & a waste of time. They could have showed a cinematic of what happened.

The bottom line however is I'm glad I didn't spend $60 on the game as it was far too short. I could care less about the multi-player or the spec-ops parts. I enjoyed it a lot & would play through it again, but far to short for the price tag. 5 hours to beat the campaign is inexcusable.

So the online doesn't grab you? I'm on my second play through. Connecting online has been an issue for me as it can take half an hour just to get online. Not sure why, when my 360 connects fine.

No, the online doesn't grab me. There's nothing new in any online game. FPS are all the same online. I could play Battlefield 1942 & get the same experience I get playing CoD:MW2 online. The game may be the best looking game I've ever seen. I don't know if it looks different on the 360, but on the PS3 it's amazing. The Washington, DC part is incredible. But, if I had paid $60 for it, I would have been highly disappointed in it. Next game to beat will be Assassin's Creed 2. I'm sure that will give me much more than 5 hours of fun.

I'm not getting much time on this as we only have one televsion and my housemates are glued to it 24/7 with crap soap operas and the like.

I just did the Fevala mission. Honestly, I know Brazil has a big underbelly but would there really be that many enemies in a small block like that?

Between this and Dragon Age, what would you all recommend? And is it better on the PS3 or the 360?

The television station is controller busting difficult on Veteran. I'd almost made it through the lower level, when a guy I didn't see jumped up from behind a back office window and blasted me. It'll be awhile before I go back to playing that level on Vet.

Oh no! The online experience isn't quite that straight forward; it's sort of like having an RPG character, in that you level up your weapons and gear with the experience you acquire. You can create a ton of different load out options with all of the perks and weapons builds you open up with experience.

Gamevet is right in a sense, although I would argue that EXP makes no difference to your game at all. You can be the worst player ever and you still get EXP to level despite how rubbish you are. EXP and level makes no difference to how the game sorts you into teams etc, you could be playing people of extremely high level while you are level 1 for example. All it means is that you have put in the hours, its not a barometer of talent or skill.

Also, whilst unlocking guns is fun, the guns unlocked at higher levels are not actually necessarily better than the guns you already have, and in some cases are a lot worse.

Perks do make a difference, but again I would argue not much of one. Perks and Killstreaks add some variety, but it's still a samey experience overall. And this is coming from someone who has logged a lot of hours with the game. and likes it for the most part.

Well, I have unlocked some better guns over time. The two base snipers on MW2, the intervention and the .50 cal, are serviceable. Once you get to a certain point, you get an obscenely better sniper called the WA2000 that has increased power and rate of fire over the other two.

I've got two base classes that I primarily use at the moment - 1) WA2000 (blinged w/ heart beat sensor and thermal scope) and dual M93 Rafficas (blinged w/ Akimbo, of course, and with FMJ bullet penetration), 2) AUG HBAR (blinged w/ grip and heart beat sensor) and AT4 rocket launcher. My perks on both of those classes are of course Bling, Cold Blooded, and Ninja Pro. My killstreak rewards for both are UAV (3), helicoptor (7), and AC130 (11). My death perk on both classes is Final Stand.

Loved the game and hated it at the same time. I bought it late Saturday afternoon and beat it Sunday night on Vet... and that was with little more than playing for an hour or 2 at a time 4 times. 8 Friggin hours of main storyline and a storyline that has tons of loose ends. Too much like Halo 2 for me, but still loved it all the way through.

Been doing the online, and I just need to get to the point where I can get cold blooded and ninja as perks. I mainly get picked off by the heatbeat sensor and thermal.
