I thought that Absolute Justice might bring me back in. I sat down with low expectations and unfortunately, right now, the show is even lower. I think if this episode keeps up this way then I'm totally done with Smallville and it's universe of characters.

Okay so what I'm seeing is a buncha suck mixed with glimmers of coolness. The article is right about the episode trying to do a Watchmen story... at least so far. And while the news reel was a nice touch, they should have filmed it like a news reel. I mean the camera was already watching Ted Grant box before the cops came in. The camera should have been following the cops... Like a 1950s episode of COPS.

This is about as good as Dolph Lundgren's Masters of the Universe. I think I'll stick with DC's animated features.

I can see the appeal, but nah... I can't get back into this series. There is too much rubbing me wrong, the set pieces and costumes (not including Clarky) are neat but it's not enough for me.

Afterthought: Pam Grier... Damn, she got fat. Almost looks like she is wearing a mask of herself.

Yeah, I loved how there would be a hero standing there doing something and the camera is on him and then all of the sudden the cops roll in. LMFAO! He didn't notice the camera? The only time this was justified was the boxer because he might have been getting film done of his workouts to improve his game. The rest of the times this happened were ****ing lame.

What the hell have they done to this show? It started as a prequel of the movies, sort of, where they showed Superman growing up, slowly gaining more powers and teasing at what he'd become.

Now between a whole load of characters that weren't supposed to have shown up til later in his life, plus the justice league (minus Batman of all people, wtf, it ain't the JLA without him)... Just tell me if I got this right. The show has ignored the primary and established its own canon, right?

It's not bad, it becomes something neat with the mention of Chlark and Clois though. Makes me again think though that this show's fatal mistake was having Chloe be Chloe instead of Lana. Just change her name, same character and call Kristen Kruek's character something else. All the stories happen as they did, just with that one change. Now the show has a Lana/Clark relationship that is more similar to the comics.

If I could perfectly redub the series, changing the names of those two characters I would. I'd be George Lucas all over Smallville.

So yet again another character figures out how to fly. Hmmm. I wish that the Absolute Justice episode's last scene was Hawkman, prompted by Doc Fate, picking up Clark and then dropping him from a great height while yelling, in that gravely Batman like voice, at the falling Clarky, "Necessity is the mother of invention!" or something like that. Then the episode would end with Clark coming feet away from slamming into the ground, but instead swooping up in a grand flying arc and past the camera in a quasi end of the movie Chris Reeve way (without looking at the camera though) but with that big Chris Reeve **** eating grin on his face.

If I recall right they made like mini-earthquakes or something like that. It was sorta crass and illogical (they make earthquakes doing it but their house, which would be at the epicenter has no damage to it let alone their bed is in one piece!!!!!!!!!) and I hated it, obviously. But then I hate Lana. Clark is also dumb. Even Dean Cain's Clark was smarter than that fool and Dean's Clark didn't even realize he married a clone that ate live frogs!
