Gordians are hardcore fans of the movie Gordy who swear that Babe was just a ripoff.
Never call them "Gorders". They hate that.

Psssh, late Roman emperors were a bunch of *******! Especially co-emperors.
Aziraphale. The Enemy, of course.
But an enemy for six thousand years now, which made him sort of a friend.

I always thought a Gordian was one of those sweaters women wear.

That's so crazy. I would never put Hitler in charge of ANYTHING.

I would have liked to see how Hitler dealt with a superman with a giant blue penis. Too bad Dr. Manhattan wasn't created until after World War II. Afterhought: I'm surprised that there hasn't been a Youtube Hitler Rant video about Dr. Manhattan.

Co Emperors is a retarded concept. No wonder Rome fell.

Was enabling illegal in Germany prior to 1933?
Alas, if only America had never legalized it. Codependency wouldn't be nearly so widespread, perhaps confined only to underground passive-aggressive clubs.

On March 24, 1765, Great Britain passes the Quartering Act which requires the American colonies to house British troops.

They could've at least given each American half of a British troop. What are you going to do with a quarter?

Somehow the logic of that whole housing my enemies thing escapes me. Weren't they afraid of poison?
#14
Posted 24 March 2009 - 09:26 PM
Poison, brandished weaponry, torches 'n' pitchforks, vacation photo slideshows, and other unwelcome-guest deterrents probably didn't come into vogue till sometime after 7/4/76.

They weren't the enemy back then. Don't forget, the British soldiers protected the colonies from Native American and French attack not long before that act was passed. So it'd be more like having to house the police today. The police irritate us sometimes, and we don't always trust them, but they protect and serve us too so it's not an enemy relationship.

I had an unbelievably intense nightmare last night that also felt so real despite it's absurd nature. It involved monkeys, but there wasn't any sucking going on, anyway the monkeys were super villains and I was the only super hero to survive their initial attacks. So it ended up just being me versus a bunch of super powered damn dirty apes. At first it was fun, I mean I was a super hero... dream come true, but then it just turned into some dark and gritty Frank Miller parody and I was running for my life while at the same time trying to help people. I remember crying out those Chris Reeve Superman pleas of "The people! Stop! What about the people?!" while fighting for my life and attempting to save small kids with kittens. Funny now, but I was tossing and turning all night over this apparently. Just so intense. I woke up shaken.

I'd say "TMI" but any time I do then just like that Three Mile Island comes into my head and I start to worry about nuclear fallout and the death of all my loved ones.

If TMI blows up, I will never know because I will be dead before I realize what's happening. If I drive for 5 minutes away from my apartment I can see the towers.

Well, there's always steam coming out of the towers, so I'm hoping it's at least monitored somehow. And actually, now that I think about it, I remember hearing that the contract is/was up for renewal, so I think it's still an accident waiting to happen.

I must admit that I had to Google the Crimean War to know what it was. I probably missed that day in World History back in high school due to some new comic book I was reading in class instead. lol
